Getting started
First you’ll need to register your device with the app to enable 'Express Sign in’. We’ll install a device enrolment token on your device that creates a secure link between your device and Online Banking profile. It only takes a minute and only needs doing once for each device.

You’ll need:
- An up-to-date phone number registered with us
- An iPhone running iOS 5.0 or above
- Data access on your device
- Halifax UK personal account
- Online Banking username, password and memorable information

The Branch/ATM finder uses location based services. We, LINK Scheme, Google and/or Apple may access data about your location (i.e. GPS signals from your mobile device) which can be used to approximate your location (such as your mobile ID).

When you receive emails from us we will always greet you personally using your title and surname and include either the last 4 digits of your account number or the last part of your postcode '*** 1AB'. For text alerts, check they come from Halifax.

This is a brilliant App!!
Huge improvement from past versions...always had an iPhones & been with Halifax for over 20years so I've seen them all develop & fail but this one is best ever!

Really super easy to sign in, navigate and generally use! - I love it!!

Literally in less than 2mins I've paid a contact & on my way! People are amazed when I say 'oh I'll pay you now from my phone!' ..in just a few mins its done, There are some fantastic options available as well as the norm..check balances, cancel direct debits, move money around, set up new contact or pay direct to their mobile!
It's very nicely laid out, being able to swipe screens between accounts or pages is great! So smooth!!

I could go on but it'll get dull....best way to understand how brilliant this app is ...simply use it!

So Much Easier

I have to admit, using the on line version of Halifax banking used to be complicated so when an App replacing it was introduced it appeared to be a good idea. In practice however it turned out to be a nightmare to use, unstable and forever locked out due to maintenance or some random technical issue. Since it's update, this latest version is quite simply brilliant, easy to access and so very simple to use. In the time I've been using the App it has only been offline once and that was only for a day. Very useful banking tool. Not all facilities are available, sending money abroad etc, but most day to day business can be simply conducted.

Great app

This app makes online banking a pleasure! Easy to manage money, make transfers and see multiple accounts. So much more user-friendly than using online. It also makes accessing financial products and services easier. I have been dithering about getting an ISA for a while but it was so simple to find all the info and set it up via this app that I finally did it! Highly recommend. I've even started waiting to make payments from my iPad if I'm on the computer as it is soooo much easier.
