Hinge is the dating app that’s great at one thing: setting you up on great dates. And we’re not just saying that. On Hinge, 3 out of 4 first dates lead to second dates and we’re the #1 dating app mentioned in The New York Times wedding section.
So if you’re looking for a BFF, a job, a pen pal, or a hookup, Hinge isn’t the place for you. Hinge is exclusively designed to get you out on great dates. Here’s how we do it:
We quickly learn your type. You'll only be introduced to the best people for you.
We give you a sense of someone’s personality. You'll get to know potential dates through their unique answers to prompts, and basic information like religion, height, and politics.
We make it easy to start a conversation. Every match begins by someone liking or commenting on a specific part of your profile.
*Most Compatible: Each day we pair you with the one person we think you’re most likely to hit it off with.

Ratings and Reviews
Great dating app but going downhill
My favourite dating app, doesn’t bug, matches frequently, I like the profile layout too. However their updates keep removing functionality. Used to be able to see who your mutual friend was even if it was 2nd connection, now can’t. Just updated tonight and really gutted as you have to now pay to see who’s liked you, whereas before you could go through those who liked you already separate to others. That was a key selling point I used to tell my friends. Let’s see if the algorithm is good enough to still frequently match... wish I didn’t update it though. Taking things away from customers naturally upsets them, I’d rather you add adverts.
Good service and for free
There’s no real need to pay for this app, it shows you that someone likes you and then when you stumble across the unlucky individual you can see that they have liked you. You are prompted to like a particular feature of someone’s profile which means you almost always have a talking point to start with. Better than the rest and free! You can also upload videos in addition to pictures. I like a couple of other apps but this one beats them all.
It’s a very different way of dating. I really like how you can interact with people before you match with them. The only downside to it is that you can’t see who likes you unless you pay? Prices are reasonable, £30 for 6 months I believe. It’s just something I wish didn’t exists. One other thing is currently it doesn’t have that many users so you run out of people to like or dislike within a few days
