Latest update is awful

I've loved this app since it started. Unfortunately the last two incarnations have got worse each time.
I'm over 40 and I'm trying to avoid wearing glasses where I can but I now need to wear them even to put the heating on boost! Everything is so small, no bold or easy to hit buttons and very easy to hit the wrong thing, even with my glasses on. Rubbish. It wasn't broken so why fix it? Wish I could roll back!
Update - hot water part of the app is also pretty rubbish. There’s no way to advance the hot water.
I’m not sure why this can’t be offered ? It would’ve sensible to be able to. Eg I had the water on yesterday afternoon after the kids had showers but didn’t need it on in the evening as a result. But no way to stop it which is ridiculous. I had to turn it completely to Off and just hope I remembered to turn it back to scheduled again. On normal thermostats you can advance the water rather than on or off so not having this feature on the app is actually a retrograde step.
Each version of the app make this worse for me and for useability. Things I get used to being able to do change or get removed . I still hate the new version of the heating part of the app because it’s inconsistent with the water one re the boost button etc. It’s illogical and not user friendly to have two different formats. Very confusing for someone tech savvy like me so the elderly and those partially sighted must have a nightmare

I like Hive....

I’ve been using Hive app for just over a year now and have always been impressed as to what it does. Control your heating, water, lights, etc. from your phone. They way it works (and it works well) just seems natural. Heading home early.... simply turn your heating on and your home is nice and toasty when you arrive.

My only disappointment up until now had been my lights in the living room. We have three of them and I needed to perform three actions to turn them all on. Now with quick actions I’ve set them up so that I can control all three as a group. All three on or off at the touch of a button. I’m sure that I’ll be making good use of the other action combinations after I’ve fully digested what the system can do.

Installing lights makes heating go offline

Had Hive installed for 3 years now to control our heating and one light bulb, had zero issues.

Recently installed a 2nd bulb and ever since the heating continually loses connection to the thermostat and only solution is to remove the batteries and pop them back in again. This fixes the issue for a day or two then the same thing happens... not ideal waking up to a freezing cold house then having to mess around with the thermostat to get it to work again. Very disappointed at the prospect of having to replace almost £40 worth of bulbs with standard non Hive bulbs again just to get our heating working as expected once more. Reading online it appears his has been an issue for a number of users since 2015. How can it take over 3 years to find a fix for this British Gas? Is there a firmware update you can push out or free signal boosters to customers? This isn’t a cheap system yet it appears you’re happy to take our money but not fix our issues!
