Works great, some bugs
Works, no problems connecting or controlling the bulbs. However, a smattering of small bugs does somewhat ruin the party. None of my custom presets are saved after quitting the app. The UI is a bit small and confusing, making it a bit bigger and simpler would be great. Also one time the app asked 3 times to rate it within the space of 1 minute. So here you go, I guess.
Great App when it works
Tried the lite version first to control x2 Hue Lights and it worked great. Bought more Hue lights including a Light strip for my Decks area and purchased the full version so I could control more lights. First time it worked perfect with the beats preset and setting it to to run automatically at 120bpm. Now it don’t work at all. Even the sound activating doesn’t work. Can’t turn lights the on by activating only when you adjust colour do they come on but still the presets are not working. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. Great app when it works but waste of money when it don’t which now seems to be the case. When it does work 5 star but for now only 2 stars 🙁
Family share does not work
After checking that the app supports family share I purchased the app so that my daughter could use this in her room when listening to music. Unfortunately the family share option (restore in-app purchase) does not work (ios14 with purchase sharing enabled). Sadly I now feel conned and can’t recommend the app. I note some other reviewers have experienced the same problem.
Other issues include the selected lights not being saved as part of a scene. Therefore each time you use the app in a different room you need to deselect lights not wanted in the scene, and then select the lights you do want. Altogether a bit of a faff!
