Clunky and irrelevant

I don't understand why this app exists. It appears to be trying to reinvent the wheel. Public transport apps exist that are better, even Google and Apple Maps do a far better job at finding routes. Surely the man-hours spent developing this would have been better invested in providing live Trentbarton bus times to other apps?

The design is terrible too. It feels like it was designed for old 4" iPhones - everything is massive and looks terrible on Plus or X size iPhones. Also, what's with the animated logo every time you start it? I get less of a fanfare when I restart my iPhone. Those precious seconds that I have to wait while it animates makes all the difference when trying to decide if I need to run to the bus stop or not!

I'm just going to stick to my bookmarks to the live times on the Trentbarton website. At least they come up instantly.

A big disappointment...

Trent Barton are a truly brilliant bus company, but sadly the app fails to live up to their high standards.

1) The times are wrong - at my local stop the printed times (at which the buses to be fair generally depart) are two minutes earlier than the app gives! It also gives some suspicious-looking late night routings that Trent Barton customer services say don’t run.

2) It seems to be aimed at pensioners with free bus travel so it only offers a rail alternative when there is no bus at all. Four or five hours Derby to Euston Road when the train takes 90 minutes. BUT! If it is for pensioners, why are the walking times only appropriate for athletic young people? Other apps let you set a preference for walking times and distances.

I’m pretty confident that a great bus company like Trent Barton will get this right in a few months time, but as of October 2017 I’d steer clear of this if you want accurate timetable information for Trent Barton buses.

iOS frustrations

I tried to submit a review using the app but the keyboard won’t minimise to allow me to submit it. Can’t see what you’ve typed as it disappears.
Doesn’t recognise my email when trying to synch my account...it’s the correct email.
Tells me no journey information is available and to check my internet connection...my internet connection is fine.
Hope you get this sorted as the idea of being able to store different journey info and view different saved routes is a good idea.
