Human Resource Machine is a puzzle game for nerds. In each level, your boss gives you a job. Automate it by programming your little office worker. If you succeed, you'll be promoted up to the next level for another year of work in the vast office building. Congratulations!

Don't worry if you've never programmed before - programming is just puzzle solving. If you strip away all the 1's and 0's and scary squiggly brackets, programming is simple, logical, beautiful, and something that anyone can understand and have fun with! Are you already an expert? There will be extra challenges for you.

REVIEWS:

“Amidst the trend of instant gratification that the internet and gaming as a whole has perpetuated, having a game that both excels in its puzzles and also challenges your wider perception of it is commendable, and makes Human Resource Machine exponentially essential.”
- Touch Arcade 5/5

“Sometimes a game catches you by surprise. Be it with its ingenuity, its style, or its sense of humor. Other times a game catches you with all three, like Human Resource Machine.”

Being able to write computer code is a supremely useful talent, but learning the basics can be a tough, tedious slog. Human Resource Machine wraps computer logic fundamentals inside a wonderful, whimsical puzzle game, full of cartoon conveyer belts and demanding managers. It’s so much fun you might not realise how much knowledge you’re soaking up.

Glitch stops progress

UK_Sparkie

Was loving the game to start with but I'm now very frustrated as a glitch is halting any further progress and I can find no way of reporting this to the developer other than through this review. I have got as far as Level 20, Multiplication Workshop. Regardless of the last two numbers input, the output product of these two numbers receives an error message "Bad outbox! Management expected 0 but you outboxed _". I cannot see how 0 can be expected at the outbox when neither of the last two numbers multiplied together are 0. I'm hoping for some feedback on this problem from the developers.

Hard to understand...

Frumpyflump

...this game should be banned. Surprisingly I got to level 7 or 8..the one where you start adding things...but just as I was starting to get the hang of it then the frustrating & annoying begins by the game changing the numbers everytime you have to restart...yes, yes, yes I know you can stop it midway but it's easier if you could restart WITHOUT the numbers changing. Far too much for my brain & patience to take. I HATE THIS GAME...*screams*. In the Cube you can 'simplify', the devs of this game should take note so those of us who are a trifle thick could actually enjoy the game, I mean I did pay real money for it. SIMPLIFY IT.
