Editors' Notes

The first thing we want to do after seeing a movie is talk about it, and Letterboxd is a great place to connect with fellow film buffs. With this slick, streamlined app, we can easily share lists and reviews—and comment on friends’ updates—from the couch or the movie-theatre lobby. If you’re serious about cinema, you’ll feel right at home.

It has a few issues

I’m not sure if these problems are just exclusive to me/my phone but I’ve been experiencing a lot of difficulties with this app. Firstly, it logged me out and it’s been impossible to get back on my account, no matter how many variations of my email/password I’ve used. Secondly, when I tried to make a new account, a banner appeared telling me just - “Error making account - bad request.” No idea what that means lol. Thirdly (and finally) during the couple of days I had access to the app (which I really enjoyed using!!) it appeared to experience lots of problems similar to this, which may be down to connectivity issues on my end, but could also be down to a problem with the app itself.

Bit dissapointed because I genuinely really enjoyed using this app.

The Ultimate Cinephile Essential

M. Night. Shyamalan

Are you an artsy high school student who wants to log out every one of the obscure films you love so much? Going through your midlife crisis and watching all the classic gangster films? Just like going to the cinema once in a while? Then just get this app. It works perfectly, has all the features you could dream of - while still staying incredibly accessible and simple to navigate -, and has ratings provided by the user base instead of Hollywood shills. I use this app on a daily basis and can’t imagine switching to anything else at this point.

Trust me, I never write reviews. Letterboxd deserves it.
