Great app, but the money back guarantee is not for granted! I almost lost £550 when parcel force driver decided to deliver my parcels somewhere else, sign for someone that didn't exist and leave my things on the door step of that person. After weeks of complaints both to eBay, parcel force and the seller I was basically informed that I wouldn't have my money back from eBay, the seller refused to complain the lost of goods to parcel force so that he could refund me and I couldn't even give a bad review to the seller because eBay didn't allow me. Almost 2 month later someone from another block, probably after find out that that has no use to them, came knock on my door to deliver my things...
Small things it's good, big ones be careful, you won't have your money back if ebay's profit is bigger than what they can get from you.
"My Feed" is useless in the UK
Searching and bidding etc on this app is fine, but if you use the "My Feed" feature to browse general interest items, it is absolutely useless outside the USA. I'm an eBay user in the UK and the suggested items in the "My Feed" list are entirely USA based items. There is no way to change this setting in the app. I have written to eBay, suggesting that they give you the option in this app to change preferred item locations (like the eBay website does), but they have ignored me. I've also noticed more USA items appearing lately in the website "My Feed" too, despite my preferences being set to UK ONLY. I suspect that eBay wants to maximise their percentages by displaying a huge array of international items, and perhaps it's not in their business interests to restrict the suggestion list to a smaller local list. But this bit of social engineering doesn't work when customers like myself simply give up using the app altogether.
App good but eBay need to review feedback process
App works well, it is particularly easy selling & listing items.
There is however, an increasing number of time wasters, fake accounts with little feedback who bid and fail to pay. I am more of a buyer than a seller but on the occasions I do sell there is a 80% chance I will come across a non payer. The problem with buyers not being allowed to provide negative feedback means they leave negative comments with a green positive as this is there only way of voicing concerns about the buyer, but it then looks like they have 100% feedback until you go further and read feedback. You need to give buyers more power to highlight time wasters, maybe with a 'non payer' button that other sellers can view. It's getting out of control and the volume of fake accounts is forever rising.
