The app provides door-to-door multi-modal journey planning for all areas of the UK, highlighting First Bus services where they are available.

You can save favourite stops, stations, locations and revisit recently searched journeys.

The nearby map shows the bus stops and train stations near you and links to live departure times.

You can also see the full bus route and all of the stops along that route.

So so so slow, literally waiting 10 seconds to load a new screen, will tell me I have no internet connection even though I can go on to stream a HD video no problem. Doesn’t use my location properly tells me a near station is Leeds, I’m in South Wales, again I can go to Maps and it finds my location perfectly every time. I’m in a good 4G area what’s the problem? I go to buy my monthly pass and after about 5 minutes just trying to put it into the basket I put in my CV2 and it completes but doesn’t add it to my purchased tickets so I have to go through the ordeal again, only to have to pay for a physical ticket as the 15minutes I had planned to buy my ticket before my bus apparently wasn’t enough. A notification reminder would be great to say your pass expires in the next day or something cos apparently you need to set aside hours of time and patience for this. I have a brand new iPhone X but same issues on my previous iPhone 6S. Also where’s the iPhone X update? I can’t believe this has so many positive reviews.

Great Update - vastly prefer this version


I use this app daily to get to work and university. Just select your destination and when you want to arrive/leave and it shows you numerous bus times and routes. You can search by route number if you want to see the stops and times for that service, so I'm not sure what other reviews are referring to when they say you can't see the timetable anymore?

I've only been recommended bus routes, even when standing next to a train station, so that's been great as well (I have a student bus pass as it's cheaper than a monthly train pass so I always travel by bus even if it means a longer journey than the train). I love the little feature where you can save your destinations with an icon and your favourite stops. This app is so much more useful now !



First bus, are you taking any notice of what is being said? Your app has gone from useful to useless in one update. Did you actually pay someone to do this?? I think you should try and get your money back. We want an app just like the old one which we used every day.

1st review update: The journey planner could be a useful addition to this app but, because I am near a railway station, most of the suggestions involve a train. I do not wish to use the train! it would be more useful if, like TFL in London, we could deselect the modes of transport we DO NOT wish to use.

2nd review update: Your update today says you have listened to our concerns. Well, you haven't listened to mine. When I visit Penzance, for example, and use journey planner, most of the options involve using the train. Please allow us to select the Mode of transport we wish to use as I only wish to use the buses as I have a pass. This must be quite annoying for anyone who lives near a train station.
3rd review. Today’s update states you can filter what mode of transport you want under journey planner. Great stuff. However, although I can see this on your website, I can’t seem to find it on your app on my iPhone. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your feedback, we genuinely appreciate it. The app presents the best routes for a given journey and generally tries to include at least one bus option. We do accept that there are some where it doesn't due to journey times, departure times, and the number of interchanges involved. We are looking to improve this in a future release.
