## Description

Addition is at the heart of maths. If your child enjoys adding they will have cleared a key hurdle in their long journey through maths. Learn to add with Addition Tables. It has been specially designed to help young children learn by teaching themselves to add then practice what they have learned before testing themselves. It is another App in Unit 11’s popular Maths can be fun series.

The learning includes spoken addition tables from 1 to 10 which helps with memory learning as well as with number pattern development. This is then supported by an automated number line which indicates the result of any addition. There is also a traditional counter mechanism which has been enhanced to help add the counters. Development testing showed these mechanisms were very popular and young children quickly understood how to use them.

Once enough learning has been done the practice and tests can be used to show how much has been learnt. Counters, which count aloud when tapped, are included for all practices and tests.

Other features include:
•Set the number of practice questions
•Choose from 4 levels of testing for each addition table
*Merit
*Bronze
*Silver
*Gold
•Test menu uses coloured buttons to show attainment level

Different approaches have been included for practice mode and testing to suit a wide range of ages and abilities including
•Multiple choice (drag answers into place)
•Keyboard (type in the correct answer)
•Grid (fill out a grid of questions)

Multiplayer. There is a turn based 2 player test mode included. This fun element can be used for children to test themselves against friends, brothers and sisters or even mum and dad! To keep things fair there are no time limits and each player can select different tables for the test. So whilst Johnny or Tina do the 10 Addition Table, mum or dad could do the 7, 8 and 9: try it, Math can be fun for families too.

## Ratings and Reviews

Faether ,

Just the App for our youngest who is learning to count. When he started he just used the counters. Now
he uses the number bars.
The use of the counters at every level has given him the confidence to try the tests after just a couple of days.

Unit 11 really know how to create confidence building educational Apps I often click on the 'related' tag just to see what else they have released.

IamNoZombie ,

Another great App from Unit 11. It really helps young children learning to count. The number lines and the automatic counter help give children confidence. Then when they are practicing or even testing the counters which 'count aloud' are there too help. This is a simple but great App.

Hillbeast ,

My two girls already use Unit11's Multiplication App and this provides a perfect a accompaniment for improving their numerical skills.
