Great port, but benefits from controller

EDIT: If you play this game with an MFI controller, it greatly improves the experience and really is the only way to play. I can't fault the port otherwise - the textures are much improved over the original and it's a joy to play (with a controller).

I'm very pleased to see this game on the iPad. It looks great (PC graphics rather than PS1). It's just as I remember it (and, notably, just as it still exists on sites like GOG). The biggest disappointment I have with this particular version is the controls. They're atrocious. A virtual control stick would have made more sense. Instead, they've opted for a 4 point D-pad that is nearly non-functional. The left and right strafe keys are also way too small. With a bit of work on the control scheme (or offering multiple options) would go a long way to improving this experience.

Won't let me access extra levels on Unfinished Business

There's a couple of bugs but this is a biggie. I completed the game on the Unfinished Business mode hoping to have a go at the extra levels I've never seen before.

After completing the Great Pyramid and watching the credits, it takes you back to the main menu. If you go back into 'load game' there's a new save called 'auto save'.

When I clicked on that, it kicked me out of the app, then when I went back into the app the auto save was no longer there. My manual saves are all still there.

There's another glitch where if you click action on a key hole in the middle of an animation, such as putting a key in to open a door but you click it while she's landing from a jump, she'll say "No!", the door remains shut but the key will disappear from your inventory. This happened to me at Sanctuary of the Scion and I had to replay the entire game as I didn't have a save backup.

Otherwise amazing game and far better graphics than my old Sega Saturn!

Okay so I managed to kind of get used to the terrible virtual controls(I was a huge fan of the old Ps ones and had no issue with the controls back then by the way) and now, at the Tomb of Tihocan, right after I kill the 2 gorillas, Lara needs to shimmy sideways to get to a door...but there is a GLITCH and she just won't proceed sideways! I played again and again, restarted level and NOTHING. No improvement whatsoever...CAN WE HAVE SOME SUPPORT ANY TIME SOON? Apparently this has been an issue for YEARS and the developers just don't give a crap. Congratulations. DO NOT PURCHASE. A mere cash grab this one , greedy developers!
