Brilliant app - support independent businesses!
Revising my below review - street hub now offer delivery from retailers for a very reasonable price and were kind enough to offer me a gift voucher to spend after the last review I left them. Very impressed with the choice of small boutiques on the app, the functionality and design of the app and the new delivery services. Very excited about my first purchases arriving! :)
I love the concept - independent boutiques you can shop at without having to leave home! The problem lies in the fact that it costs £18 or more for me to have something delivered (the app uses Shutl for fast delivery). There isn't any cheaper option for delivery, and I only live just outside central London! It's a shame as the range of boutiques and products are very good. I see no point in paying £18 for delivery of a £15 necklace though. And if I have to click and collect... I may as well just go to the shop and browse there?!?
Great app - terrible pricing
The app looks well done and is very usable except when you return to a page it returns to the top no matter how far down a list you've gone.
That being said, I have spent a fair bit of time looking through the app and keep discovering highly overpriced items such as a moustache groomer for £1800 or a jacket for £23,000. I visited the websites for some of the original sellers and found that, in the example of the jacket, it was being sold for £210.
If I had seen just one or two I would have assumed they're a mistake but I have seen a fair few unfair prices which leads me to have no trust in the app.
A sensible application
Really think the map function works awesome. I wanted to check out Shoreditch on the weekend and quickly scoped the place beforehand and was able to find some great independent boutiques. Bought a backpack in the app then collected it in shop... Couldn't believe how easy it was and then my friend ended up buying a bunch of other stuff while we were in there... Probably wouldn't have found the place if we didn't have the app so kudos to Streethub for that!
