The 1971 reference of the iMini was made famous by artists and bands such as Stevie Wonder, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, Keith Emerson, Devo, Jean Michel Jarre and more. We brought the features and sound of this classic to the iOS platform! iMini not only recreates the look and feel of the most legendary synthesizer, it does it with unparalleled sound quality. iMini is based on the award winning Arturia Mini V software that was created in partnership with Dr. Robert Moog himself, back in 2003. Thanks to this heritage, continuous research and refinements over the years, iMini comes with amazing sound quality and a large collection of preset sounds created by top sound designers such as Klaus Schulze (Tangerine Dream) and Geoff Downes (Asia).
You can play iMini’s numerous sounds from the iPad keyboard. You can create your own sounds and start building your personal sound palette.
If you are an owner of the Arturia Mini V software on your Mac or PC, you can import and export sounds between your laptop or desktop Mini V and iMini.
You can also control iMini from a MIDI keyboard via CoreMIDI and integrate it into your studio or live performances.
iMini is a Tabletop Ready app. The connect menu allows you to connect iMini to the Retronyms Tabletop app, giving you an integration with a complete studio environment. You can use multiple instances of iMini; record your performance into a real-time sequencer; automate any of the parameters; add effects; process other modules through the iMini filters, and more. Tabletop also features add-ons for more effects and instruments from other 3rd party companies.

Ratings and Reviews
I like this app. A lot. As a standalone sound module it's fantastic. But it also works well in Audiobus, and I've not had a problem with it in AUM.
My only complaint is that it still clings on to the Retronyms Tabletop ecosystem. I know this app was also developed by Retronyms, but Tabletop died about 3 years ago. Retronyms need to remove Tabletop from the App Store and move on; just like everyone else did, 3 years ago.
Fantastic synth, poor output options
The imini as a synth is really very, very good. I work in the music industry and must say I am impressed with the quality of the mood reproduction on the ipad! However, for all the good work the developers have done they have missed the main point of having a synth - using it in a production workflow. No Audiobus or audio paste function makes it quite useless unless you just want to have have fun playing it. iOS is pretty lame when it comes to musical production at the moment anyway, what we really need is for all these synths to work inside an iOS DAW as a plugin, much like a desktop DAW. Until then we have to make do with Audiobus - but with no support in imini we are a bit stuffed.
It does work with Tabletop, which in itself is a good idea as it does allow us to use various synths etc in one package as plug-ins, but it still has a long way to go - it needs a proper timeline and track layout rather than a loop sequencer. Perhaps imini has made a good move in being compatible with Tabletop but we also need Audiobus and Audiopaste features added as soon as possible, then this would be a 'must have' synth on your ipad and would be a five star app.
I have to agree that Audiobus and Audiocopy / paste support would make this a 5* app but let's just concentrate on the sound and controls for a moment.
I've been playing synths for 30 years and as far as getting the feel right this app is 100%. The sound is just spectacular. It's worth every penny of your hard earned cash. I love the sounds and tweaking is just so easy. If you know anything about analogue synths then all the controls work as they should. No surprises means you can create the sound you want with minimal fuss.
Extras like the xy pads add up to date control which is right for an app. The mix of new and old works.
The missing star, as I've said, is for lack of integration but that's nothing that can't be fixed. I'll be back to add that star in no time at all I imagine.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
