iPG-800 is a MIDI Controller iPad app emulating the functionality of the PG-800, PG-300, PG-200 and PG-1000 Synthesizer Programmers that were built by Roland.
It only works with a Roland JX-8P, MKS-70, JX-10 (with Colin Fraser OS or Fred Vecoven OS), Alpha Juno 1+2, MKS-50, HS-80, JX-3P with Organix or Kiwitechnics OS and D-50/D-550.
iPG-800 is a CoreMIDI app and connects to CoreMIDI compatible MIDI-Interfaces that support sysex like the iRig MIDI (e.g. Alesis IO Dock does not work) and to wireless MIDI Network sessions.
Note: No Parameterfeedback for JX-10 with Colin Fraser OS
Fixed Parameter Request Command and Midi channel setting in the D-50 mode. Thanks to John Conway for noticing this bug.
iPG-800 is fully compatible with the new Roland D-05. Doesn't support Vecoven V4 Version for the JX-10.

Amazing !!!!nuff said😉 buy it
Makes editing a breeze - D-50
Purchased this app tonight because as promised the developer added the Roland D-50 and it's nothing short of amazing. I've owned most synths this editor covers and whilst I only have the D-50 left to use it with, it covers everything you need for simple hands on visual programming of which would usually be time consuming and frustrating menu diving.
Setup was fairly simple (mac) and even though I was using this on a wireless network latency was of no issue to me. Everything worked perfectly.
Having monitored prices on the original D-50 hardware programmer recently, £3.99 will leave you plenty of change for another classic Roland addition to use with this excellent app. Top marks.
Just buy it
iMac + iPad air + JX8P + £1.99 USB to midi cable from eBay = wireless synth magic. This app was one of the (many) reasons I bought an iPad and I seriously love the fact it's brought my JX to life - if you have one of the great synths this thing controls - just buy it.
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
