Slowly restoring my license fee confidence

Without Top Gear, Luther, full F1 coverage and the rest, it's fair to say a significant audience demographic were losing heart in the beeb.

This, however is a real gem. At last, we can download full programmes instead of 'podcasts' where music is lost for whatever licensing reasons. The app is cumbersome at the moment, especially on the iPhone, but with patience it's okay. Been working for me glitch-free so far, and it means I can listen to Radcliffe and Maconie in the car out here in the sticks without needing a 3G signal. Thanks beeb.

Oh, and if you're not a 6 music listener, you should be.

Most valuable app I have

I've been using this since it basically launched in its old form, they've now completely redesigned it and made it much easier to use (once you've figured it all out) and also added the function of remembering where you were even if you fully close the app, or even turn off the phone.

Not to mention the ability to listen to shows 4 weeks after (and sometimes longer) than their original broadcast.

If I had to have just one app on my phone, it would be this one.

If you are a keen radio 4 fan this app has finally become what it always should have been and you can finally download

I know the Beeb have had podcasts for ages but it was pretty hit and miss and many of my favourites never ended up on podcats "I'm Sorry I haven't a clue" of example. Now you can listen to it when you want even if you dont have a signel.

Only thing needed now is to be able to subscribe to downloads and I can finaly delete that auwful Apple podcast app
