“Frankly, it blows me away.” Kishore Sawh, SLR Lounge
"As far as ease of use, it is hard to make a simpler piece of software. When you are using the desktop software, you simply drag your JPEG files onto the program and then the JPEGmini Algorithm does its magic, compressing your images and saving you tons of space."
Anthony Thurston, Phoblographer
"JPEGmini is without a doubt the most amazing piece of software I’ve come across since I first used Photoshop 10 years ago. In my opinion, it is essential” Mark Condon, Shotkit
“I found it hard to believe that the software would result in that much space savings, so I opened up the JPEG image on my computer and analyzed the file pixel by pixel. Going back and forth a number of times, I could not see ANY differences in quality”
Nasim Mansurov, Photography life

Good enough, great in use
Ok, having read a few reviews around the web, it seems that this app does diminish the picture qualty at say 100% pixel size. So don't use it on the only digital copy of your wedding photos. However, as a way to batch reduce the filesize of multiple photos in one extremly easy step, I can't fault it. I use it to resize copies of photos before sycning them to my ipad or uploading to dropbox, to save valuable space. My wife uses jpeg mini before doing album uploads to facebook, easier than any other method.
Yes, I guess I'm actually using more space on my 3T desktop drive (as I keep the original and resize a copy), but where storage is limited it really is useful. And the way the photos appear as it's compressing them is a cute slideshow...
I guess I'm not giving it five stars because they claim it is 100% lossless whereas I'm not so sure that's the case (I haven't checked myself - for any really hi-res stuff I'll use the original JPEG or RAW files... ) I'll keep using, and recommending, this app for my Mac.
Great App, but would like to see...
I have to say this is a well rounded app, I have trusted it enough to condense the majority of my photo album, with 100% results. I haven't yet seen any quality reduction only the reduction in the file size.
For future updates I would like to see a quicker loading up time, .png, compression of 18mb or over support. I have also got and use an app called Image Optim, [Free Download] which opens up within a split second, condenses .png and .jpeg files over 17 megapixels, but the compression ratio doesn't match jpeg mini, the reason why I paid.
Thanks for a great app, but please update!!
Please increase file size
Great piece of software, very simple and works really well. I knew when I bought it that it had a max file of 17gb so cannot fault it for that but would be great if they could up this in future versions. Would be awesome if I could reduce the full size jpegs that I export from a 5D MkII, then I'd see some great space savings. Also, as someone has noted, would be good to see it reduced at the other end so website pictures can be optimised. Cheers.
