We've fixed a pesky bug where logging in with Facebook meant you were asked to login again – that's been resolved so jump on in.
We've also added more order status updates to the app.
Ratings and Reviews
Add hygiene ratings
Good enough app, I’ve been using but for years for our weekly takeaway. Only had a problem when the app was first launched but smooth running ever since so I would’ve have given it 5 stars but it could be so much better.
It takes a very long time for me to place an order because I usually have to order for a vegetarian celiac AND I want to order from somewhere with a good government hygiene rating. If I walk into a place and it looks dirty or has a poor rating I walk straight back out. I care about that online too. I have the following suggestions just off the top of my head, I’m sure there’s plenty of other improvements they could make.
1) They should enforce all restaurants to state allergens under on the items ie JustEat could easily device a coding system and get the restaurant to add these to their menus. Some restaurants do include this information and it makes things so much easier.
2) They should clearly display the up to date hygiene rating not just add a link to the .gov website, where you need to type in the name of the restaurant. This is supposed to be a mobile app after all!

Hi Winnie, thanks for leaving a review and sharing some feedback about what you'd like to see on our app.
At Just Eat, we take allergens seriously as we understand that customers may have a variety of dietary needs and requirements when ordering food. We require all restaurant partners featured on our platform to provide accurate, up-to-date menus. If a restaurant chooses to provide allergen information on their menu, we will publish this on our platform.
While it is a restaurant’s responsibility to ensure they are compliant with the law, we do everything we can to raise awareness and standards, as well as explaining the obligation on communicating allergen and accurate menu information. Examples of this include offering free food safety training (including on allergens) and providing up to date information and advice on this through our partner blog and magazine.
As ingredients can change at short notice, the only person who can tell a customer exactly what’s going into their food is the chef cooking it, so we put customer safety first, and the safest way for a customer to understand what is in the food being ordered is to contact the restaurant they are ordering from ahead of placing an order. This advice to contact the restaurant if you have an allergy is shown before an order is placed and again on the order confirmation page.
With your feedback around the FSA scores, we're committed to helping customers make informed decisions. While as you know we already include a link to the FSA website on the info section of all of our restaurant partners’ menu pages, enabling customers to check the FSA rating before they place an order. We will also soon be launching a trial to display food hygiene ratings on our platform across Northern Ireland and plan to roll this out nationwide in 2019.
Hope this info helps and if you have any questions, or if you would like to share further feedback, please do email us at email@example.com.

Good, but buggy
I've used this app a few times now. I like the interface, it's clean and intuitive. However, it's not without its bugs. I placed an order the other day and it ended up getting placed twice (On the order screen I pressed Place Order and after watching a spinning circle for a few seconds I was taken back to the same screen, so I pressed the button again and the same thing happened. Then two emails arrived with different order numbers. I went back to the app and only then did it display the order completed screen). I called up the helpline and the guy cancelled one of the orders, but that all took me more time and inconvenience than if I'd just called up the restaurant and ordered directly...
Update - still not great several years since I first reviewed it. If I'm ordering multiple of the same item it is hit and miss whether I can select the number from a list, rather than having to add the same item over and over again. Very annoying. Hungry House was better, they should have kept that app when they bought them...

Hi Dan, thanks for taking the time to leave some detailed feedback, we'd like to look into the mix-up which led to your order being processed twice, if you could please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org we'll go from there. When it comes to ordering the same item multiple times, the option may not be available if the item requires the customer to select from a variety of choices to personalise the dish. This is so the customer has the ability to pick that dish again while possibly making some changes. We're happy to talk about this and any other feedback you've got, we look forward to your email! Disgraceful Customer Service
I have been having problems using this app to order as it won't seem to take payment from RBS customers after having tried my card, my partners card and my stepsons card I called to see if there was a problem with people who bank with RBS paying over the app, the lady on the other end of the phone at first said to try deleting and reloading the app which we did and tried to reorder whilst on the phone but the same problem continued she then became very rude and arrogant telling me there was nothing she could do and what did I expect her to do. I didn't take kindly to her attitude and asked to speak to someone in charge to which she told me that she was the only one there and that she couldn't help me so to call back later and then hung upon me. This is terrible customer service and I won't be using this app again 😠

Hi raigyb, thank you for taking the time to leave a review – I’m thankful. I’m really sorry to hear the trouble you’ve had with trying to checkout and with your ordering experience. I’d like to look into this for you to make sure this doesn't happen again to you, or anyone else. Could you email me at email@example.com and let me know the email address you used to try and place the order. Thanks in advance, Aaron
