What's New in Version 25.3
Both the hamburger and frankfurter are named for the German cities in which they originated, some time between 1750 and 1900 depending on who you ask (there’s an awful lot of argument about the origins of the ‘burger, in particular). Serving the meaty morsels between two pieces of bread, though, was a later idea dreamed up by restaurants catering to the increasing number of factory workers in early 20th century America. The trend for open kitchens where you can see the chefs at work began shortly after, as restaurants strived to show customers just how clean their premises were.
In the same spirit of openness, here’s what our developers and product people have added to the Just Eat app in this update:
• New rating descriptors to help you rate and review your order more accurately. Each star rating has been given a description to help you decide, from 1 star (abysmal) to 6 stars (outstanding), so please leave a review of your order and help others find a great takeaway.
• Your order subtotal is now displayed as you pick items from the menu, instead of the total. Excluding the delivery and card fees from your running total should make it easier for you to see how close you are to reaching a restaurant’s minimum spend amount when ordering for delivery.
• Fixed a problem that caused the app to crash when you’re following a delivery driver on the map. If you order from a restaurant that supports order tracking, tap on Track your order to follow the delivery driver with your order on a map.
• Sorted out a problem that caused the wrong restaurant opening time to be shown when you place a pre-order.
• A generous handful of other fixes and tweaks that, like fried onions on a hotdog, make the Just Eat app even better.

If only there was a 0 star option...
Thoroughly unimpressed with this shambles of a company!
After waiting 45 minutes for our delivery (supposed to be 20), we phoned Just Eat and enquired of the whereabouts of our meals and they instructed us to chase it up with the restaurant!
Another 15 minutes passed until Just Eat informed us that our delivery had gone to completely the wrong address.
So we got the restaurant to remake the meal and re-send it.
An hour later the meal still wasn't here! Just Eat could not locate the driver (seriously what kind of delivery company is this?) Then they proceeded to end the chat support and we never heard from them again! They took our money by the way!!! Leaving us hungry after 2:15 hours (now way too late to eat) with two screaming newborn twins as we were trying to hold off their feeding so that we could eat!
Furious doesn't cover how we feel by dealing with their in-professionalism and practices.
I really hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Continuous problems
Ordered from my regular Chinese takeaway like I've ordered before through the app but for some reason it wouldn't expect my address. Kept telling me that they didn't deliver to my area yet when I've directly contacted the restaurant they said that they'd had many complaints about the app from customers. I contacted customer service to report this and "Kent" was allegedly looking into it on live chat. He kept me waiting online (or so I was told)for 10 minutes . I then had a different operator who then told me that I had got disconnected she then disconnected me again. Such poor service!
Generally good, but a few glitches
I have used this a few times now. The re-order function has never worked for me, but otherwise the app has functioned well.
The only other issue I have, is when you order and it is then sometimes cancelled/declined on you, and you don't find out straight away. But I'm assuming that maybe down to the particular vendor and how busy they are.
