Avoid at all costs - dangerous driving
We had a journey using Kabbee and we felt we had to report it to the police to try get the driver off the road. I actually cried and both myself and my partner have never felt so unsafe. Despite being shattered and distressed after the journey getting back at 2am we felt we had to report it to the police to get the driver off the road for the safety of others (the company would not do anything or look into the incident until Monday). Whether he was drunk, severely sleep deprived or just could not drive we don’t know but it has to be one of the above. After looking at reviews online I now realise this is not the exception. He was swerving, in the wrong lanes, had people honking at him all the way and if it hadn’t been mostly motorway from the airport we would have asked him to pull in and got out sooner. Please do not use Kabbee.
My husband and I I used to use Kabbee quite a lot for airport transfers. We travel almost every week. The rates are competitive but the service has gotten steadily worse.
1. Cars will be booked and paid for but not turn up. This happens too often.
2. Cars are regularly late
3. We more often book executive cars because standard cars are often dirty.
4. Despite booking executive cars, standard cars have turned up and we’ve still been charged for executive cars.
5. Finally, and far more seriously, the driver on my last trip did an illegal u-turn on a very busy road and drove in front of a speeding truck who was centimetres from hitting the car. The truck was going quite fast and if it had hit, we wouldn’t have stood a chance. I arrived at the airport late (the driver had arrived late to begin with) and distressed.
I can honestly say I’ll never book another car through Kabbee but open to recommendations for good airport transfer services in London.
Don’t risk it...
To be fair the first time I used this app all worked out well and I was pleased with the price. The second time the car cancelled as I arrived at Gatwick at 2330. They reallocated and I was told the car would at least take an hour; I called uber. They refunded me gave me credit. Regrettably I tried the app again. No notifications, the car not allocated by the time I booked, no answer when I tried to call. Again called an Uber. This time as I left the building the driver from Kabbee was there, I explained the situation and he told me $!&@ you.
Just call uber; Kabbee is not worth the risk.
