★★★★★★★★★ 1.3 update information ★★★★★★★★★★
1.3 update includes support for iOS 5. This update takes advantage of new features in iOS 5, implementing an asynchronous, turn-based multiplayer games mode using Game Center.
Players can now also earn new powerful cards for their decks by recruiting their friends to the game, using the in-game friend referrals system. There are 3 new cards to earn:
★ Baphomet card - Increases the damage from all the owners spell cards by 50%.
★ Vassal of Water card - Heals 10 life to owner when summoned. Water mana growth +1. Attack equals water mana.
★ Traitor card - Destroys targeted opponent’s card.
Additional new 1.3 features include:
★ A new 'Pass and Play' multiplayer mode for playing against friends on a single device
★ Option to auto-complete all of the mage sets for players who purchase the full unlocked game
What's New in Version 1.30
+ Game Center turn-based multiplayer
+ Three new powerful cards available via friend referrals
+ Local pass and play multiplayer mode
+ New look and feel to the game menus
+ UI improvements to the Mage Select screen
Tragic: The Garnering, with some significantly different game mechanics.
The gameplay is great, and removes the need to continually attempt to get new cards or multiples of cards. Of course, the thing that made Tragic great and competitive was the deck-building aspect of the game, and this is completely removed from this game.
I think I only paid £3.99 for the full game, but beware clicking the button that says 'apply all cards etc to all mages', as essentially this makes the game too easy with no scope for development.
I wiped the application off, reinstalled it and clicked 'restore', which put me back to the start without the cards and extras for each Mage. You do have to start again though.
Aside from the silly name, the game is very playable, and when I get bored of the main game, I'll have a go at playing online.
starting free is a major bonus
as said in many other reviews, this is a must have game for anyone with affinity for Card games (similar to Magic et al)
Buying the full version is a serious option, as the game seems to have much more to offer.
It does not get full 5 due to some bugs in duels (particularly online) / cards effects. also the interface could be smoother / more appealing. but well done all round, and great concept!
keep it up devs!
I have been playing this game for almost a year now. Like it a lit but still have loads of bugs that seems not to be getting fix anytime soon. A game that suppose to be over as a player exceed the alowed time for his turn dont go off as victory and it just gets stuck and u end up quiting games u suppose to be winning and other issues. Apart from that, a must have game!
