Description

I created this app to provide users with my most up-to-date food and beverage recommendations in Rome. "Katie Parla's Rome" is built to fetch new data whenever it connects to the internet. BUT the app also work offline, so you get the best of both worlds--dynamic content paired with offline capabilities!

Getting to the heart of Roman cuisine can be a tall order, but I have dedicated years to helping visitors and locals alike discover the city's dining culture. "Katie Parla's Rome" brings together 175 personally and independently vetted venues including restaurants, pizzerias, wine bars, craft beer pubs, gelato shops, and bakeries and gives users access to an expert's view of the finest food and drink Rome has to offer.

Key features:
-Browse 200 of Rome's best food & beverage venues
-GPS: Find nearby venues automatically
-Content and maps available offline
-Advanced search: filter by category, distance, and budget range
-Share venues with friends via email, Facebook, and Twitter
-Katie's Picks category lists author's absolute favorite venues
-Save your favorite venues to "My Picks" category
-Browse Katie's blog

Customer Reviews

Fantastic app!

Do not go to Rome without buying this app. It is fantastic, works offline, is constantly updated and will ensure that you eat delicious food when in Rome (which is not a given as there are many places offering poor quality food). Tastes differ but Katie's descriptions of the food, atmosphere and often owners of the places we went too were all bang on (we managed to go to 7 of her recommendations). Wish she had an app for every capital city.

Made our vacation

Traveling to Rome is as much about the food as it is about the sights. Katie Parla's app is priceless. It's like having a good local friend with great taste guide you through their city. We did not eat anywhere other than Katie's picks and we were never disappointed. We tried 6 restaurants and 4 dessert/gelato spots, each one better than the next.

So many delicious Rome moments thanks to this app

Katie's app is one of the best travel apps I have used anywhere. We found ourselves smitten by Rome food thanks to this guide. We were never disappointed and have since recommended it to many friends. The offline map and ability to create your own short lists were really helpful too.
