Ratings and Reviews

So good - I didn't even know I needed this!

I've been saving things, and I've been trying to convert web content to Markdown, but it never occurred to me that I'd be able to do both in one program!

Keep Everything looks good, it works really well, and I can't begin to imagine how useful this is going to be. I've already cleaned out my other read later services and put the content in here, because being able to access and edit the content in Markdown makes it *so* much more useful.

Thank you, Groosoft, whoever you are!

Outstanding app!

Quite unexpectedly, this app has become my go-to app for personal information management, as well as simply managing saved web pages. The reasons are simple:

- it works across Mac and iOS, and unlike many information managers or complex notebooks (I’m looking at you, OneNote), runs quite happily on iPhone
- it allows you to take notes in Markdown format, and unlike many Markdown authors (I’m looking at you, Ulysses), displays notes *by default* in their read-only formatted state (with a convenient ‘Edit’ button for when you want to make changes). Very elegant, very convenient.
- it saves web pages as web archives (which usually display the web page more or less as it is, but take up a lot of room) - but it also extracts the main content (text, images) and recreates it as a nicely formatted article. Because the article is formatted in Markdown and what’s more, is editable, you can easily (and quickly!) copy the Markdown code and create a new article file with the same content but WITHOUT an attached web archive. Then you simply delete the article with the web archive. This saves huge amounts of space, keeps your database nice and tight, and means the information can be copied easily and quickly from Keep Everything to other apps, or exported in PDF format.
- finally, it accepts input from multiple sources: clipboard, URLs, direct text input or indeed direct from disk (Open File… allows you to import HTML and image files). The iOS version automatically copies stuff on the iPhone/iPad clipboard into the database.

The only quirk is that it occasionally fails to move stuff from the Inbox to the ‘categories’ (= folders) you’ve created. It always does so eventually (syncing happens over Dropbox), but it can take a couple of sessions before everything has been correctly moved over. And it has an irritating habit of moving its help files back into the Inbox again! Oh, and some of the English translation is a little idiosyncratic, but not to an intrusive extent.

I’ve upgraded to the Premium version. It’s an impressive app, and I’m looking forward to watching it develop.
