"Have you ever wondered if there was an app out there with the soul purpose of nurturing your spirit in the most beautiful way possible? Kometen is a game for the iPhone and iPad that does just this with elegance and grace." – AppDiscover
“This is a remarkable addition to the app store that will separate itself from the crowded offerings of the same old same old with its own style and polish. Taking a seat next to Zen Bound, Kometen utilizes the unique aspects of the device perfectly and will be that app you want to share (show off perhaps?) with friends.” — No dpad

Pretty but boring
Let me start by saying the art in this game is fantastic. The music's very good too. But sadly, this is not a game that successfully manages to straddle the line between art and playability (e.g PS3s The Journey). Here is what the game consists of: You open the map and select a planet to anchor to. An arrow always shows on screen telling you the direction of the chosen planet. You float around clicking on identical looking planets to orbit them in order to eat bits of space debris until you gain the power to boost (takes around 2 mins). You swipe to boost the comet watching until it slows down and stops. Then you continue eating and swiping until you reach the planet. Each planet shows a pattern or a picture. Once you've found it you begin again by selecting another planet. It's actually a bit more boring than it sounds as there is no sense of progression except the planets have different pictures on them. They give you nothing more than that. Disappointingly, all other planetoids look identical. There are odd little creatures that float around here and there but again, disappointingly they are only scenery and cannot be interacted with. This is a missed opportunity for some engrossing alien AI. The controls are actually very good but it doesn't stop this game amounting to an empty experience. It's not really worth buying IMHO but it certainly is pretty though
Weird and interesting
Really nice to see truly original games like this out there, it's weird and interesting and keep wanting to explore and get the boosts, well worth checking out
Game is beautifully styled and pleasure to watch. I was enchanted by the little comet and think the game was worth the price. Not a typical game, very alternative and more for those with an appreciation of beauty in art, idleness and relaxation.
