Lara Croft GO 9+

If you're a fan of the Lara Croft franchise, then that's just another addition to add to this great app. The game offers fun and inspired puzzles which become more challenging as you progress through the levels. There are also relics to complete and outfits to unlock in each chapter of the game. The outfits are also a great call back to the original console games which I thought was very cool. Another great aspect was the soothing soundtrack which is officially available on soundcloud to enjoy on the go.
One downside would be that the puzzles could be a bit more imaginative and may feel quite repetitive at times, and if played religiously, the game can be completed quite quickly.
Overall, this is a very good game for any puzzle solver and is also a great way for passing the time.

Each level is broken up into small scenes, each of which is a “maze” with various elements such as levers, creatures, boulders, that you may need to move, or approach from the right direction or in the right sequence to complete the section. While a bit of imagination may be required with some of the manipulations the puzzles are very largely purely logic based. You also have gems and artefact parts to collect, which give you new outfits, and require you to spot vases. Most of which are fairly obvious. You may miss a few but the games tells you how many are in each section and lets you redo individual sections to find them. I’m about half way through. So far the puzzles have been varied and fun and for the most part no more than mildly challenging, although they do appear to be getting harder as the game progresses and more elements are introduced.
Overall, not a classic but a good game that’s easy to dip into to complete a section during a coffee break.

Great graphics and gameplay make for an all round cracker of a game. Challenging and equally frustrating I spent hours feeling my way through all the twists and turns. The core game went quicker than I thought it would but the two expansion adventures were far more difficult and entertaining. I hope there’ll be an additional campaign at some point. Just one thing I’d have liked would have been the ability to turn off the music but keep the sound effects on like other similar games, but that aside, money well spent!
