Nice and Simple

A nice and simple app for nice and simple people like me.

You suscribe to feeds - it displays the feeds’ articles in summary, uncluttered or website mode - you read the articles with the eyes you were born with. What more do you expect or desire?

One more thing, unlike some other newsreaders it plays videos natively (without needing a web browser) - lovely jubbly.

Dire. Unstable. Opinionated.

The problem with opinionated is when you're wrong. The developers are confident they seem to know what they're doing, even when it means ignoring a decade of RSS reader development, and two decades of multi-document reading.

You just keep using the H, J, K and L keys to change feeds and articles, which is the Leaf way. Read everything in a feed? Good for you. Remember to press whichever of the keys it was to get the next feed, because the Leaf developers don't think this should be automated. Remember too that it's different keys to page through the article, and either H or J to move between posts in a feed.

I've moved to a sane reader where I can use the space bar to page through instead. After many versions that simply produced beachballs and showed adverts, I cut my losses (a cost far higher in wasted time that money) and ran.

It's nice-ish looking, at least, if I have to say something positive.
