This app will definitely improve your life but could do with more settings
I'm extremely new to this app but I was unable to start using it as I wanted the habits I joined to be some kind or order as to how I would fit them into my daily routine. So I immediately noticed no option to re-arrange the list, even though there's a simple way round this by just creating habits with numbers at the front is seems a bit strange as that takes away the stoical aspect of the app. It would be good to have options to habits like arrange them in a list and maybe add tags to them so there would be more populated habits and not lots of repeated ones. Also half way through the day my ticked off habits reset themselves and I got an email of how I've done. Is the app set to a different time zone? I'd like the ticks to be left ticked until the day is over. Great app tho, just download it and try it out as it is incredibly simple to get fully set up
Rigid and inflexible - fairly pointless really
The app is OK - if you're fully committed to tweeting (etc.) your progress. Heigh-ho. But the major irritation is the total failure of the app to accommodate any goal that doesn't fit its rigid definition of "achievement" - i.e. must be done exactly once (and no more) per day, 7 days per week. That's it. No scope for (say) eating 5 vegetables per day, or going for a run 4 days a week. With either of those goals, there is no way of tracking how many vegetables you're up to by mid-afternoon, and no way of seeing that although you only managed 4 vegetables on Tuesday, you did have 6 on Monday. And if you were aiming to go running 4 days a week, and you do - then according to this app you've failed to meet your goal for 3 days out of the week.
I emailed the app support about this. They don't plan to improve the app. It's very basic, for VERY basic goals. Not worth bothering, really.
I use this app daily. Great for tracking habits, but I also use it as a 'done list' for tracking language study. For example how often I read in my target language or study vocabulary.
To the devs, it would be great to see some simple habit grouping functionality to help manage long lists of habits. The recent addition of the option to reorder habits was a welcome step but I would like to see more.
Overall, this app provides a lot of much-needed positive reinforcement for those looking to improve themselves or achieve goals one big green check-in button at a time. Definitely worth a download.
