Got to be the WORST app ever
I’ve just written a review of probably my favourite app (Day One) and thought I’d follow it up with a review of what is easily the worst app I’ve ever tried. I did use the original version, and was horrified when I saw the new version. The original was useful for many reasons but principally because you could check in advance what problems there were on ANY motorway. Even in the office or home. With this one, it gives you a small amount of information based on your location. It doesn’t give you a quick overview, but just gives details like ’10 miles away’. Which WAY?? If it’s south of me and I’m going north, why do I care? It’s SO pernickety about not being used when in motion even by a passenger that anyone would be forgiven for hurling the phone out of the window. I’ve deleted it. Now I need to find an anger management app.
Can't understand negative reviews
As someone who uses the motorway networks on a regular basis, I have found this app to be valuable as information is up to date, reliable and extremely accurate. The section with live CCTV images has proven to be very handy as it shows the state of the motor with real time images and helps with decision making on route planning as well as journey times. The user interface is also simple to use and easy to navigate around, and information is able to be retrieved with the slightest of ease.
Fails to give you information you need
There are several issues here; the information is often useless and inaccurate (Google maps has better traffic flow information!).
The app always wants to use location information. This just isn't acceptable, why isn't there a 'use while using the app' option? I'm not going to have you my location 24/7.
I tried to report some debris once, so painful to do I gave up. What's the point of a feature that doesn't work??
