Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
The traditional game of Ludo (aka Pachisi), now on your iPhone/IPad, as a universal app, so you can enjoy the same app on both iPhone/iPod and iPad.
You have the option to play with up to four players:
- In the same device against artificial intelligence or others humans
- In a local wifi/bluetooth network
- Online via gamecenter by inviting your friends or random players (auto-match)
Throw the dice to get the best moves
Build your best strategy
Try to advance in the game without being caught by yours opponents
Try to capture your opponents pieces
To win you must be the first to walk around the board with your pieces and arrive at the center with all the pieces.
A very addictive game in wich wins the player with the best strategy, and of course a little bit of luck to throw the dice.
What's New in Version 1.2
Fixed a bug inserted by the last update, in wich a piece was not allowed to go to the final position if it was in the safety area (the colored central one). Thank you everyone for reporting this error. Ah, remember to evaluate this new version. Enjoy! :)
Hours of endless entertainment.
Great game, a classic which does actually involve some tactics.
Only docked 1 star because just sometimes the computer does throw in some silly series of 6's, or doesn't take a token when it should, or fails to move off an opponent's home spot etc. Still, you get a fair game, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but it always keeps your interest alive.
So overall this app has helped me contentedly while away many a mind-numbingly boring tube journey, and lots of other mind-numbingly boring waits when I just couldn't be bothered/it was too crowded to get a book out.
Think I paid 69p for this app, and it's definitely repaid me over & over again so yes - highly recommended, and thank you!
It's good, but could be improved
The game is brill. But your rules don't seem to tally up with my childhood memories of the game. Try allowing one player to have red and yellow, and the other blue and green. Also if a six is thrown, allow a pawn to come out, but if the other dice is a number, then allow the piece to move to that number too. So six and three is out pawn and move three. Also try allowing more than one pawn to move in the game. So if 5 and 4 are thrown then player can move one peice 5 and another one 4 same colour or opposites. If double six is thrown then two pawns can be brought out, or one moved six places.
I've tried most of the ludos in app store, definitely this is the best.
It will be better if you add more options and rules as:
1- A safe square that if stay on it no one can kill you.
2- allow to build up two or three or even four, so that two for example no one can passed or kill it unless you have two above each other or more
3- allow two of the players to make deal and defending each other.
