Machinarium 12+

This is a wonderful indie game. Downloaded it a couple of hours ago and cannot keep myself off it! Playing it on my Macbook Pro 13" and it runs perfectly in full screen mode. The sounds and graphics make this game higher than any in its class.. The quirky robot makes the game even more fun, You can interact with almost anything and the puzzles are so immersive. The creators payed so much attention to detail from opening the walkthrough book to how the robot looks and reacts to walking around the world. This is a must buy because you can't go wrong for £2.99! The styling of the game reminds me alot of Fallout 3®. This game needs expansion packs and more customisation options but apart from that this is one of the best indie games on the market!

If you love an adventure this game is a MUST!

The puzzles are more often than not, based on an irregular, quirkly logic, distinctive to the game style. This is really emmersive and adds to the quirky animation style, but frustrating when you simply cannot move forward without help. Having to walk to the object you want to interact with, is slightly annoying, because it involves a lot more clicking, which may seem petty, but when your getting frustrated by the irrgular logic, you will notice this as a negative. Furthermore, it sometime seems impossible to interact with something until you've run around every corner of the game, only to find that it later works. I'm curious to know if it was a fault of mine, or a fault in the game. But it's happened more than twice. I'm giving this game four starts because it has great animation, a great soundtrack and a lot of thought has gone into it's development. The developers put in great attention to detail, some quirky humour here and there, and a unique artistic style to the game over-all that makes it quite cool.

This is one of the very best adventure games I have ever played. The graphics, music, animations, style and thought that have gone into the creation of the game all combine into a wonderful experience for people of all ages from my 5 year old son, through my 14 year old twin sons, to an ancient old me.

One of the unique things about it is that you can get answers to most of the more difficult puzzles by playing a simple mini game - this opens an illustrated book with most of the answers for that particular section only in a storyboard format.
