Ratings and Reviews
Sack the Editor
The standard of journalism is poor at best. So many basic mistakes in most articles. Every day!
Words missed out, words up jumbled sense to make not (example).
The "live" sections are still there one to two days later! How is that live. At least rewrite the article removing the incorrect "live" after 12 hours at the most.
There cannot be an editor surely?
Out of date articles which by their nature are upsetting. An example being the tragic death of the young cyclist in Salford, in one article the person had been seriously injured, which remained on the MEN app hours after another reporting the person had died!
So many events come and go in Manchester without a mention. I suspect because you want them to pay for an advert. Local events can't afford this, and your letting Mancunians down by not informing us.
The capping of unfavourable reviews, whereby you don't have the option of leaving another. You can only edit/replace an existing review. Damage Limitation?
Sack the editor again 76
This app is a terrible reflection of Manchester. A once great newspaper, turned arrogant, biased, judgemental garbage.
Printing innocent people's addresses is out of order- George Glendon, disgusting treatment and worthy of an apology HINT HINT!
Sensationalising stories to a ridiculous level is common place.
Publishing stories consistently with a Man Utd bias again and again, it is very arrogant, please remember, there are two teams in this city and one is actually doing well, you'd never know that reading this paper.
Please do us a favour and take an honest view of what's going on in the city and have a humble view that can be reflected honestly, the hypocrisy is ridiculous!
Decent but not great
I use this app most days to try and keep up to date on all things local in and around Manchester.
There are good stories which relate to things to do with kids and the best eating / dining places in Manchester and they also advise you how to get decent discounts on a lot of things too. This is really helpful.
However the traffic updates are never up to date and there have been times the app is reporting heavy traffic on certain routes but when you travel it the traffic has gone.
This needs a more up-to the minute feel to it.
The general opinion is that it’s quite good but could do with some more meat on the bone to stories that are most important such as high profile court cases, prolific criminals, traffic news, sports news.
Overall worth having.
