Should you choose to upgrade to MVP, payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. The monthly subscription costs USD 5.99 per month while the yearly subscription costs USD 29.99 per year or USD 2.50 per month. Subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. There is no increase in cost when renewing.
Subscriptions can be managed and auto-renewal turned off in Account Settings in iTunes after purchase. Once purchased, the current period cannot be cancelled. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited if you choose to purchase a subscription to MVP.

What has happened to this previously great app?
I have been using MapMyRun and MapMyWalk (in conjuncture with MyFitnessPal) since the middle of last year in an effort to get fit and drop some weight. Everything was always perfect with the running/walking tracking. However, since the recent updates to MapMyRun and MapMyWalk over the last week or so things seem to be going wrong. I've had two walks and one run where the tracking has frozen or not recorded properly or left gaps in my route or even all three. For example, I went on a 5km+ walk only to find that the app got stuck at just over 2.8km and I went on a new route 8km jog but the app lost tracking for over 6km in the middle and only reconnected when I looped back and was near the start point again. After this app being so useful it's a great disappointment to now have it playing up. I hope this gets fixed ASAP or I'll have to find another way of mapping my jogs/walks. Fingers crossed.
Really motivate me to go running.
I have a hidden competitive streak and this app really brings it out in me. I have this constant need to go out running if one of my friends has overtaken me on km or best times. The course feature is also brilliant and I'm constantly striving to be on top and have the best time. It's great at recording runs and easy to use. Plus it also offers competitions/challenges to partake in for prizes. It's definitely motivating and I cannot fault it. 💯
Works well with iPhone 6 but not iPhone 4
I started using this app some while ago when the iPhone 4 could cope with the software requirements of the time. The usability of the app gradually got worse to the point that I stopped using it all together.
I now have an iphone 6 and it seems to work ok.
It does seem total utter pants that I have to upgrade my hardware just to be able to use the app. Just like apple themselves do, it would be a good idea to keep a limited version of the app for those hardware limits its operation.
