Mathination introduces a revolutionary new way of solving math problems on the iPad by simply touching them.
Do Your Math Homework!
Enter any algebra problem from any textbook and solve it with Mathination. Just type in the problem using Mathination's simple math keyboard and see it exactly as it shown in your textbook.
Rearrange terms by dragging; simplify expressions by squeezing; and expand products by stretching. Instead of writing equations over and over again at each step, Mathination lets you concentrate on how to solve the equation without worrying about forgetting a sign or making a simple mistake when adding or multiplying.
Mathination also includes a library of sample problems covering basic algebra, polynomials, factoring, and rational expressions.
You’ll never do math the same way again with Mathination!
What's New in Version 1.1
Implemented many user suggestions!
Technically innovative and a good teaching tool.
The ability to manipulate algebra is great in the areas it can handle. It would be great to let kids practise a lot of examples to develop their sense of strategy in problem solving without the frustration of silly mistakes. The keyboard is great.
The next step is some means to play with factorising by completing the square.
Sometimes it was too restrictive for teaching and did not let you wander into a dead end to learn what happens when you follow the wrong strategy. It was a bit too ready to cancel down fractions for me, perhaps a hint that you could do this and a means to try different common factors? That's the teacher in me, I guess the kids just want their homework done!
This is a big step forward in this category of apps. One day it will be really great.
I wrote an equation that needed solving and that's all it did... There is no solve it or show me option that other apps offer to help.
I can't get the app to solve a problem, but have to go through the pre set questions in the app which is time consuming as I want to tackle the question I have!!!
Very frustrated and wondering how I can get my money back???
No decimal point
Not bad, but this app really needs a decimal point function. I know it's only a small point......but it is essential
