Do not use this
The meals are always the smaller versions so in actual fact you end up saving around 50p for most meals, 3 out of 12 were made beforehand the rest I had to queue anyway to get.
It actually makes things very difficult to plan around, you get 15 minutes to pick up your meal and basically no flexibility. You miss your chance you lose your meal or it’s cold if they’ve made it.
I see the idea, it’s quite a good one but I would really avoid this app.
Also you’re put on a rolling subscription with absolutely no warning or detail. That is the thing that really annoyed me, the lack of transparency was enough to make me never use this service again.
Looking at reviews of employees on glass door it seems as though the founders hit a good idea but have zero idea of execution of scale. I have huge concerns about a company that can’t even treat their employees well, it doesn’t bode well for customers.
Scam App, time waster!
So i tried to cancel my account after tried a not so great plan. Instead they charged me without confirming anything with me, all I saw was a charge to my credit card. Their practice is rather amateur and definitely an infringement to consumer rights. I will be disputing this but also want to tell anyone who reads this review, it’s a waste of money and time. Do not bother with these time wasters, they will take their time to ever respond, there’s no way of contacting them and most importantly they are so unprofessional!
Great value (when it’s discounted)
MealPal is very handy for quick lunches, although it’s only worth the money if you do it with a discount. The full price meal each day it’s much of a discount. There are a good selection of meals but it hasn’t changed at all and they have not grown the restaurant base at all south of Soho
