Description
The Merseytravel A to B journey planner app provides timetable, real time information (where available) and map information for all public transport providers across Merseyside. It provides door to door journey plans for trains, buses, and ferry services as well as scheduled departures from a specific location. The app allows you to plan journeys for now and any time in the future.
Features include:
• Interactive journey planner
• Public transport services from all operators
• All modes of public transport including trains, buses, and ferries
• Displays bus stops near you
• Dynamic zoom and scroll mapping
• Saves favourite locations and recent journeys

Trips feature unusable
This is a shame, as an app for travel in the city would be useful, but the trips feature just doesn’t work. It didn’t recognise several Liverpool postcodes, and when I entered the street names for those places instead it gave me options across the country.
Giving two stars as the nearby bus stops feature does at least work, although the information is out of date and doesn’t reflect at least one bus route that has been redirected 6 months ago.
Removed most useful feature
Only a few months ago this would have been 5 stars but degrading to 2 because it lost its most useful feature (at least on my iPhone 6)…showing you where you were on a map. It’s all well and good saying change at such a place but in the pitch black in an unfamiliar area the route tracker showed you how close you were. Now…nothing.
Version 4.2.6 is unusable!
Have loved using previous versions of this app but not anymore. This version is hopeless! Instead of just opening the app and it immediately finding your location and showing nearby departures, you know have to select ‘my location’ from a list before the app will do anything. When you’ve finally worked that out, you are then left with a yellow box covering half the screen, allowing only 3 departure times to be displayed at the bottom!!! I have never seen such a disaster of an ‘upgrade’! Please bring back version 3 and stop trying to be so clever: it’s not working!
