iPad word

I feel that the current Word that I use on my iPad in conjunction with one drive is excellent tool for any information that Is able to be referenced as often as you would require.
The grammar and spell check provided in word are very useful to use, as is editing. Saving files is set to automatic and can be selected to off which allows you to use and amend files and give it another title. So no need to worry about losing files especially with use of one drive.
Very useful on the move to update or create new files, has the time and date in the top left hand corner of view that is helpful.
I am sure that some other users would use graphics and photography to enhance the write up.
To sum up it may take longer on the iPad word compared with using a desktop keyboard, spelling and word suggestions are wonderful, on the move a very handy program for everyone.

Basically Notes, but called ‘Word’

Look, we have Word on our iPads people, that’s awesome in itself. Running an app that was originally designed specifically for computers is pretty impressive... or is it? How can there be so little features on such a powerful device, such as the iPad Pro? I’ve had to change to Pages, even though I am far more familiar with Word. Even a feature as simple as being able to alphabetise simple lists does not exist. The iPad Pro cash be considered to be more powerful that MacBooks of the past, and they were fully capable of running the full package of Word, so why cant the iPad? I genuinely think that Notes has got nearly all of the features that Word has to offer. It’s almost as if we’re using a ‘beta’ version of an expensive compilation of apps

From a previous century

I never mastered typewriters in the days when they were the only way to type a letter. But I don't feel I have lost the opportunity to learn. Word is based the principles of a typewriter and as such does not fit with the intuitive operation that other programmes, developed for modern equipment and practices, do so well.

Unless you are a competent regular user (and who has the time to commit to that) you will spend a lot of time reading help menus if you want to do anything more than the most basic operations.

If I want to do anything the least bit complicated I use a graphics package where I have full control over text positioning, sizing, fonts, tabs etc., without having the text completely rearrange itself every time I change something.
