Mindbody: Fitness, Salon & Spa 4+

Great app and local yoga studio.

This makes booking classes incredibly easy. I use it to visit Yogalogy in East Finchley although not as often as I’d like to due to my own life commitments.

Great array of teachers, all very unique. Neda owns and runs the studio and has a vast knowledge of yoga. Serious in her approach but delivered with humour bringing a wonderful group feeling. She also adds a spiritual element which prompts you to look at yoga and your goals on a greater level during your practice. She is amazing although has called me John or Sean on occasion despite being called Josh. 🤣 Her tuition and warmth outweigh the occasional name fade. Book up!!

Requires full access to add an event into my calendar

The app worked perfectly by adding events into
my ical without the needing to give full access to the app. Now for some reasons the developers changed this and now the app wants me to give full access otherwise I cannot add an event to my ical. I contacted the Support and complained. Apart from the fact that it worked with limited access before, I also find the app now wanting full access to be able to send an event item into my calendar is violating data privacy regulations as well. the Support team apparently is unfamiliar with data privacy regulations and the support agent simply saying ‘that’s how software works’ is more than unsatisfying and leaves me with a rather mistrusting feeling towards MindBody’s app. Their changing attitude towards how they wish to handle personal data is rather disappointing. don’t even bother to try sync trouble shooting with this app as it won’t work until you grant full access, which I won’t.

Joining Issues / Customer Services Uninterested

I was a fan of this App until something went wrong with my account. I was receiving confirmation of booking / payment receipt emails for the classes I booked but was not getting the email with the joining instructions (usually sent 15 mins before) meaning that, at the last minute, I could not join. The issue still has not been fixed and MindBody has made very little effort to help resolve it. They are just passing the buck onto the class providers (no they have not contacted them themselves they want me to manage it) even though this has happened for two different class providers now which suggests it is a problem with my account / the App. I have still not been refunded. Not impressed with the lack of effort on their part and I will be finding an alternative platform.
