Articulating a complex idea can be a challenge, but fortunately MindNode—which simplifies a technique known as mind-mapping—can make the process a whole lot easier. The app lets you create a diagram where an overarching idea branches off into related ones. You’ll be able to zero in on specifics and zoom out to see the entire concept in all its complexity.
It's a brilliant App but...
Firstly, I love this App and it's changed my worklife for the better. I needed a way to manage complex plans in a form that wasn't a traditional word file or note for each factor - this suits this perfectly. The price is fair and as long as it offers this value, I'm happy to be along for the ride.
There are, however, some shortfalls which, I haven't reflected in my score [because I think it's fair to judge on what it is - not what it isn't] but it might be an issue to you as well
Developer ASK:
Please improve the search the features. On large sheets it's hard to see the results and there is no indication of the number of instances. Also the search excludes the notes on the nodes. Pain.
The export to Apple Reminders is brilliant - but this should be a perminent link. To have to update every time isn't a 2021 feature :-(
Please make it easier to edit format along branches - when you move nodes to other nodes it adopts the host node format and you lose all you formatting - this can be a real pain. Also the formatting of colours seems random - some seem to have colours different for each branch you create - others are the same. If this is user error feel free to correct me.
Please can you add the ability to expand and then (reduce) isolate nodes on the node itself. There is a toggle to expand the node once shrunk, but not the reverse. Just a faff.

1. If you use the search bar in the Outline it also searches the notes.
2. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and ideas about Reminders sync with us. I've added your wish to our list of suggested features. I can't promise that this will make it into the product in the near future. However, we review everything users send to us carefully.
3. In the MindNode preferences uncheck the box next to 'Inherit style when reconnecting'
4. I am not sure what you're describing at the end, could you please send us a detailed email (at best with a screen-recording) to support@mindnode.com about this?

JUST. WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!
Useful for creative writing AND a jobs list. Ideal if someone has sent you a load of things to do too.
You can organise jobs and write a description about the job, the editable text appears in the right hand column and the saved text in the left hand column on screen, both of these text screens can be made to disappear so you only see the mindmap which is very beautiful to work with and makes work fun. You are able to "tick' jobs done, perfect. I wanted an Outline mode option, not just a mindmap and we have got this with Mindnode. You have a variety of export modes, PDF, Freemind, OPML, Image, Markdown, Text. I wanted something visually appealing with dark background options so as not to get bright screen sore and streaming eyes, bingo! Yes have that too! One happy bunny, THANK YOU MINDNODE TEAM. Question, is there a chance you might make a Windows version Team, cant wait for my brother to try this ? LOVE this software.

We are a small company with limited resources and unfortunately, we don't have the capacity to develop MindNode for an additional operating system at the moment.
