I downloaded this but so many people in the first couple of pages of reviews speak about the bank closing there accounts and how customer service is absolutely terrible with responses or just fob you off to a different dept who don't answer, also for so many terrible reviews why are the stars so good so I just can't take the chance with them one bad review ok or a few but in two pages lots of the same comments about closing accounts and not getting there money back and the reply on here is always keep in contact with our service dept when the complaints are about the service dept not replying BEWARE BEWARE SOMETHING MOT RIGHT.

Our high average rating is a direct reflection of many happy customers (many of whom use Monese as their primary account), which we're completely humbled by!
Okay but shady
Monese works okay as a prepaid alternative to banking but there are multiple flaws that never get corrected out of what can only be seen as not caring about the customer.
1) Payment Times despite all the requests, payments in still take hours (unless you want to pay a fee for topping up your own money using your card)
2) Business Accounts, these supposedly work the same as personal accounts but the application is beyond pointless as they don’t even aim to bring in a new business customer, if you’ve had an issue signing up
3) Avios, these I won’t deny are a great addition BUT the fact you can spend a lot and never received Avios, nor support from British Airways or Monese for missining Avios, makes it a pointless enticement
Honestly Monese needs to correct these faults as with a growing list of alternatives to pick from, who wants to wait 2 hours and pay so many fees when Starling Bank is all instant and low fees, and much less of a darn headache

Have downloaded, deleted and re-downloaded this app now more times than I want to think about and still each time I try and use it, the app states that an update is required. However I am yet to find an update available on the App Store, each time I click update now it takes me to the Monese download page whereby it asks me if I want to open the app. Completely infuriating and can guarantee that my last deletion of the app will be the final one and I will not be downloading it again in future and have been advising all I know to avoid at all costs if they wish to maintain an iota of their sanity!!!!
