Description

Note: MONIT DOES NOT CURRENTLY WORK ON MACOS BIG SUR.

Slide out Notification Center to quickly see key performance data for your Mac, such as CPU, Memory, Disk, Network and Battery. Click the charts to drill down and reveal more details. Click the Network and Disk Icons to view even more data.

Monit Widget is a modest, but ambitious, Notification Center Widget for monitoring your Computer.

Please see https://mmonit.com/widget/ for more details.

Notes:

● The Widget connects to an external host to get your Public IP-address. This is the only reliable way to obtain your address. No data is sent, only read.

● Temperature, fan-speed, disk i/o and exact process resource usage are available by installing a small helper program from https://mmonit.com/widget/ The Helper uses no CPU when the Monit Widget is not running and less than 3 MB of ram.

● The Top-5 App List shows App CPU usage normalized (0-100%) across all CPU cores.

Still waiting for the Big Sur update (Ventura is almost out)

I haven't used this app much – as soon as I paid for it and installed it, Big Sur was released, and Monit suddenly became incompatible. It's been over a year now, and still no update in sight to make up for Big Sur compatibility. On top of that, macOS Ventura will be out this fall.

It's a shame, as it looked like a splendid app for monitoring my computer's internals. But the lack of support, especially considering we're paid users, is hard to forgive.

I hope this app will become useful again soon. Feels like a shame to leave a bad review when even a few days of use made it look so good to me.

Click the CPU circle to see temperature and fan speed

You need to install the accompanying Helper widget from their site to make this app work. Fortunately it's very easy to do this, and you're guided through it.

At first I couldn't see the CPU temperature and fan speed, which is why I bought Monit. I emailed their support, and got a quick reply back telling me to click the CPU circle within Monit. I didn't realise I had to do this. Then I could see lots of interesting stats, including the CPU and GPU temperature and the fan speed.

You can also click the other circles for Memory, Disk, Battery, to see other stats.

disappointing

I have used this app for almost 5 years, it's great however was so disappointed to find out after upgrading to Big Sur in march that it wasn't compatible. As others have pointed out it's been 8 months nearly and still no idea as to whether we will get a working version for Big Sur. A shame since it's a fantastic widget
