Customer Reviews

Why the poor reviews?

I was skeptical buying this game given the poor reviews and price to the extent where I've delayed purchasing until a few days ago.

My overall feelings (honest review - I don't work for EA): A definate BUY if you like Monopoly. I don't understand the recent poor reviews. I've had nothing but fund over the past few days. No major glitches, no graphic problems etc. This is the British version i.e. Old Kent Road etc. 8/10.

THE GOOD: superb graphics and sound. The game actually seems to be random i.e. it doesn't seem like the dice are fixed unlike what I've experienced with other dice games. There are lots of options and tweaks to keep me interested for months to come. Great gameplay.

THE BAD: The gameplay is fast which isn't a major problem but would be nice if there was an option to slow things down a bit. One small glitch where when i tried to build it wouldn't let me navigate across my properties using the arrows (arrows seemed to disappear) but managed to solve this by simply clicking on the property and the build option appeared.

THE DOWNRIGHT UGLY: The chances and community cards - the ones that day ''advance to…'' are American. NO EXCUSE EA. - e.g. Advance to Broadway or similar. Not a major problem at all but lazy by EA.

8/10 overall. I'm not easily pleased, but pleased with this game.

Runs good, shame about the cards not matching the board

I bought this to teach my son how to play monopoly. I took a chance after the reviews and to be honest he loves it and can't stop playing it. There are some things wrong like the chance and communty cards seem to be the American version with all the American place names and the board is Uk version with UK place names so they don't match but my son can't read that yet so it works great for him and it's alwasy a nice surprise when you don't know where you're going, I can see it would be frustrating if you were older. Look forward to an update to correct these issues. Other than it works great and we love playing it!

Low quality

The game is just ruined by all the bugs. I brought the game because I saw a review that said, it's not that bad you hardly notice it and so on. I certainly did notice it. You can only play on the standard board as far as I am able to work out yet the comunity chest, chance cards and all the text for propertys seems to be for a compleatly different board! furthermore the peices are invisible. I mean you cant see them at all, the steam from the iron and the prints from the boot etc. can be seem during the animations but there is no iron or boot there. the whole thing needs a huge update. And while there doing that they could put in retina support because in full screen the app looks terrible on the 15"pro.

I would expect better from half the FREE games on the app store.
