Fantastic. How book apps should be.

All book, half cartoon and infinitely interactive ( bit of an exaggeration, but only a bit. :)

I love the highlighting of the words that this app has, I love the animation, it's stunningly simple and funny. I love the way that Grovner tries to stop you turning the pages ( although on the first five times round my three year old tried everything to stop me turning the pages). I love the way it forces interaction, then encourages it.

And it's not just me!!! Every time the iPad has gone on since owning this app, this must be watched at least three times before anything else gets a look in. Still getting excited and a little scared even though she knows every word.

Buy it - even if you don't have kids.

Now, developers... Make other stories in the same vain only use simpler words ( with simple Phonics) so that its not just a fantastic story that can help with " sight words", but develop a Childs capability to "de cypher" the word from it's phonics.

Happy days

Great Book for Kids (big and small :)

This is fantastic - one of the best kids ebooks I've bought (up to about 17 now)

The story is funny but the best things is that it is read by Grover (all the way through for me - no idea what the guy below is going on about :-) and is really quite funny, even for an adult.

It doesn't have quite as many interactive elements as say Cozmo or Morris Lessmore but it doesn't suffer for that at all - there's stuff to do on each page but not so much that reading it with your children at bedtime becomes a chore - just the right amount to keep them interested and keep the story moving along. Not only that, but the interactions feel relevant and part of the story in a way that not many others have managed to pull off.

The most important consideration though is that my kids love it - who doesn't love Grover?? - so much so that we've bought the sequel too!

Highly recommended !
