Morrisons Groceries 4+

The ‘New’ category was removed in the Browse section earlier this year, and hasn’t come back, which has fundamentally changed how I use the app and made me buy less products and have less orders. (Others tell me the same). The app itself is superb but that one small category made all the difference. It seems the Ocado app retains the ‘New’ section and is virtually the same in all other regards so I’m finding myself shopping there more often as a result.

Everything else about the app is now stable and simple and a pleasure to use but this one small change has removed most of my ability to shop as I once did on Morrisons because product discovery is key to a broad shopping experience.

Love this app against all others out there, easy to use, has all your price per kg weight etc so you can smart shop. Lists all your deliveries. Love the one click to add to any delivery. Love how it tells you if your about to miss a promotion if you’ve only put one in the trolley. Hardly ever a substitution and it’s always suitable. I can’t give it 5 stars though after using this service since it went live you still don’t have items to purchase that are in every one of your supermarkets every day!!! Example packets of angel delight.. you only have your brand online. Recently you introduced the ready made pots. There are many other things as well. I have fed back to your staff online and over the phone so many times over the last 3/4yrs you loose a third of the years shop because I’m walking into Aldi and buying other things. My friends are the same, come on Morrison’s you do a great job stop losing trade over something stupid on the app that is sold in all your shops.

I find the ending of rewards points utterly ridiculous. Before you were rewarded with points, you’d get a voucher and get £5 off your shopping. Now they claim lower prices across a range of goods, not much good if they lower prices on things you don’t buy. It’s a lose lose situation, especially as you have to go on your app to validate the offers available, I often find there’s only one item I buy regularly.
Why is it that at Tesco’s you get a loyalty club card that gives money off selected items as well as club points , giving money off or redeemable points
Morrison’s seem to have lost the battle with the changes they made. Tesco’s seen better value as their prices are nearly the same overall.
