Pixel-licious!
I simply adore this game and I'd wholeheartedly recommended Mos Speedrun to any and all platform/retro/8-bit fans.
As the title suggests, gameplay is pleasingly paced with high speed runs in mind, virtual controls are super tight and the retro-cool graphics are beyond gorgeous! Mos Speedrun is right up there with (or possibly even beyond) League of Evil and Karoshi as the very best 8-bit platformers on the entire App Store. In fact, the only pixel art game that looks better is Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP - high praise indeed.
I highly recommend Mos Speedrun. Go on, get it now while it's half price - it's the best 59p you'll ever spend on the App Store!
My favorite iOS game period
I'm serious, this is the game I keep returning to. Very good game design and I would say if any iOS game could be credited as the 'Super Mario NES' of this platform it is this one. Particularly nice is that Mos gets killed an awful lot but does not himself do any killing. It's nice to have a great non-killing game - wish there where more. I really think it would be a crime not to have a Mos Speedrun 2 with an expanded level count. Anyway this is pure platforming joy at its finest. I think I have completely mastered the game 3 times now and reset it for the joy of a fourth go! Need a second game devs!
Great 80's platform fun
Loving this game, great simple graphics, controls work very well (prefer the on screen buttons myself), the 'ghost' feature is a nice idea but I'm happy I can turn that off.
Just lots of great levels and some very tricky screens. But its definitely one of these 'come back and have one more go...' type of games.
£1.19 is a bargain. Back in the 80's you used to get lots of £1.99 budget games for the 8 bits, a fair few of which were dire. But as a kid on low pocket money £1.99 games were still dear.
Roll forward 25 years, we all earn more and theres this gem at £1.19 ! Amazing value.
Well worth getting, its one of the best platform games for me (Alongside LoE)
