The number one mum app in the UK 2017 and 2018.
Mush is the free way for mums to meet local, like-minded mums. Because when mums get together, this whole thing gets even better.
Hundreds of thousands of mums are using Mush to find local mum friends and make being a mum more fun. Launched in 2016 and frequently seen on TV and in the news, Mush has transformed the lives of UK parents.
Make a profile in seconds and then scroll through other nearby mums, see what you have in common and invite people to connect, message and arrange a meet-up.
What you really need as a mum of small kids is a local group of mums who know the things you might not. You can use your area Mush-up to ask questions as well as organise and join in local meet-ups. If you’ve got bigger topics to discuss simply add an interest tag to your post and find mums who are obsessing over the same things you are!
Look at our Mush Guides for inspiration and feel good factor - from tips to travelling with a baby to the 5 things you should never feel guilty about. They are so good that we have a book coming out this Summer!
For mums, by mums
Mush was created by Katie and Sarah, two mums that met in a rainy playground who passionately believe that being a mum is way more fun when we team up and do it together.
Lots and lots of goodies to make Mush even better, faster and easier to use!
New guides, nearby mums, friends, search, Mushy Cards and many speed boosts.

Ok so for what it basically is, an app to meet other mums and dads - it’s fine. There’s some very annoying usability problems with this app and as the user base and content has grown and evolved naturally, this app has not. Admins keep banning/erasing content which is “buy/sell” even when it is in the buy/sell thread. The interface should only allow you to post into the buy/sell group and not allow other groups to be tagged at the same time. Or alternatively every local group should have a sub-thread which is buy/sell. This would make more sense as something for sale in Leeds may not be applicable for London N1.
People can spam by joining 100s of groups and posting to all of them. Interface should only allow you to post to X number of groups at a time. EVERYTHING appears in your mush ups feed. This should be split out and you can filter on groups which you want to see - like a main menu to choose which group you want to view.
You can request to befriend someone but you can’t undo it.
Mush ups should have date fields and perhaps there could be a calendar function to promote that content.
Thank you, this is really helpful feedback. A lot of this stuff we are working on at the moment as we are now overhauling the app having grown so quickly. You can turn off buy/sell notifications and you can already post to a number of groups at the same time - but not everyone is doing this so we need to improve! Thanks again, will share with the team. Sarah
Great concept but...
Not much activity going on, would be good if it weren’t so dead, can connect with endless amounts of people and get no response, a lot of inactive profiles, you can tell by the age of their child in their description is way off the age updated by the app...as well as getting no response. Barely one post each day on the home page and they’re lucky to get a response, I’ve tried changing my location to cover other areas but seems it’s just as dead everywhere, it’s a shame as it’s a really good idea, I’ll hang in there a while longer before I give up and become one of those inactive profiles.
Also it’s really annoying when searching for mums, once u click on their profile and connect with them, u click back to the list of mums and you’re taken right back to the top of the list every time. The odd time I have had a reply I don’t get a notification on the inbox, i only realised i had a message when i pulled the screen down to refresh by accident.
Hello - it looks like you are using an old version of the app - if you update you will have access to all of the latest features. I'm not sure which location you are in but we have a very busy and engaged community on Mush and lots of posts and meet-ups being posted all of the time. We do also encourage users to contact us via the app so that we can investigate specific problems people are having if we are unaware then we can't fix them. If you would like to chat further please email us at email@example.com
Up to six family members will be able to use this app with Family Sharing enabled.
