Beginners quickly become Pros
Users who are just learning music will be able to practice naming notes on the piano and on the staff.

Sharpen your ears
The ear training section provides many challenges for the more advanced student. It takes a sharp ear to identify altered dominant chords and modal scales quickly. For jazz musicians we’ve included the modes from the melodic minor scale and all kinds of extended chords. There is even a tempo quiz to identify beats per minute by assigning a number to a click track.

Various exercises propel you to higher scores, which you can post to compete for top ratings. Who will be #1 in the world this month? Could be you!

Fantastic app

A Wonder music app that has been put together with a great deal of thought and care. It provides excellent and clear exercises. Would strongly recommend this music app to anyone who is interested in music theory and improving one’s musical ear.

I first wrote a review giving this app 3 stars, I think this was a little unfair, as I have used it I find it enjoyable and quite a positive use of my time, it has got many great exercises and has clearly been written by someone who wants to grab the attention of the younger generation, it can be posted to show friends your progress, and the ear training, though not perfect, is a good addition, especially the scales. I hope another more advanced version is under development as I will buy that too, I will sign off now as I want to use the application again...... Cheers, upgrade to 4 stars.

My first app with my new iPhone, and I'm really impressed. Particularly with the 'ear training' section, in which you can slowly progress from simple rising intervals, to descending, and then to harmonic intervals. I'm a reasonable musician, my daughter is a competent musican, and my partner is a beginner. There is something for all of us in this, via the use of difficulty settings. Graphics are good, the sound (when required) is clear. The best thing - the price! For 59p this is superb value. Well done to the developer.
