Ads and pop ups

Everytime i go onto the app to check prayer time it prompts me to sign in even when i’m signed in. Then an add comes up or a video ad, i have to keep getting rid of these things to simply check when to pray, read verses etc. I’m better of with a paper version of prayer times.

When i try to read Qur’an, Ads come up when starting and stopping reading (not in between) it’s really helpful that there is transliteration of Qur’an as well as Arabic and English on top of the reciter, this is great so Jazak Allah, especially for beginners and people who struggle to read but if you really want sold quality time focusing on reading then stick to the traditional way of reading Qur’an. You can buy a Qur’an with tajweed support from Islamic shops and this app can supplement it, to correct your recitation but don’t rely on a phone to learn, best to stick to traditional methods. If anything it stresses me out during a time when i should be focused and at peace due to technology.

Also i paid for the premium as a one off now i have to pay monthly? I don’t think i need to depend on my phone that much to learn. People previously learnt much more than us without these things, we just need to prioritise our time. It’s a shame.

Wish the app didn’t go bonkers every so often

I love this app. It’s prompt, very useful with the prayer reminders and the Quran section with its translations are immensely helpful. But every so often the app will have incorrect prayer times. For example, yesterday Asr was around 520pm and today it’s supposed to be 519pm but it was showing 619pm or 18:19. Tomorrow and day after, Asr time is at 618pm or 18:18 but on 1st August it’s showing 514pm or 17:14. The same happened with other prayer times too. I had to look up the correct prayer time table on the East London Mosque website to make sure I had the right time. Some of us can be really depended on this app and we expect the app to give us the correct time, all the time. I understand that sometimes things might get a little bonkers but lately it’s been happening quite often. Would be grateful if this was looked in to. Apart from that thank you for everything you all do to maintain this app. You’re helping so many of us keep in track with our salaah and read the Quran more often. May Allah SWT reward you for all your good deeds, InshaAllah and Ameen. JazakAllah Khair

Developer Response ,

Salam, thank you for letting us know! Could you send us a screenshot of your location and the prayer times page in the app at help@muslimpro.com so that we could check on this matter? Please ensure that you have enabled the automatic settings to get the most accurate prayer times for your location.

I’m very disappointed with this version of the app

I had been using the app very satisfactorily for over 4 years till sometime last month one of my favorite features “Verse of the Day “ was no longer featuring. After trying to restart my iPhone many times without its being restored I decided to delete and reinstall- my regret! The app comes with a no of disturbingly inappropriate adverts. I was on premium version before and can’t remember if I had to pay and if I did being somewhat elderly can’t remember my details. I’m grossly unhappy about this and will be shopping around for a more appropriate app if this can’t be corrected as there’s particularly no Customer Service. I’d referred and recommended the app to numerous contacts and wonder what their experiences would now be.
Sorry but have helped you by being frank about this cos the app as it is presently truly is discouraging and discourteous to the practice of the religion. Thanks

The adverts are inappropriate and jump at you when you’re trying to be spiritual. Some quite sensual when you’re trying to commute with SWT.

Developer Response ,

Salam, the verse of the day is still available in the app. Have you check that you have turned on the Daily verse notification in the settings? Go to settings > Quran > Daily Verse Notifications. Regarding the issue accessing premium account, you can email us at payments@muslimpro.com for us to check on the premium status and advice accordingly.
