I've tried various methods to stop smoking over the last 40 years. Started when I was 11 years old now 52. I now feel I can say I?m a non-smoker. It's all down to "My Last Cigarette" Every morning I turn on my PDA to have a look how many cigarettes I've not smoked. That sets me up for another day without one. Good app to support behaviour change
This app has been a useful tool in my long road to quitting smoking. Since getting the app I have had several relapses but it has provided a constant reminder that I intended to quit and in doing so encouraged myself to start the process again. Whilst the app didn't stop me smoking directly (ultimately I am responsible for my behaviour) it has helped nudge me along the path. I'm not brave enough to say I have quit forever but very day I promise "I won't have any nicotine today". This is working for me so far (2months in) and I'm confident those days of smoking are well and truly behind me, and for that I'd like to thank those involved in creating this app.
Great app for following health improvements
Using this app with another similar app, this is great as all the key info is on the landing page. It would be good if you could set your own targets I.e. A monetary target to buy a treat with the money saved. The daily pic is good, especially as I've given up for health reasons, I've needed to see scary pictures of what my insides do or could look like. It would also be good if it gave points/badges/notifications of certain milestones, no. Of cigs not smoked, time not smoked etc. All in, very helpful and still using during cravings or as a reminder as to why not to go back!
Pretty good, but not complete
A very useful app that helps in the quitting process. It would be more useful if it allowed for those of us using NRT as part of the process as well as allowing configuration for the part of the day when you did smoke and the parts of the day when you did not (for instance, when sleeping). I find the number not smoked does not go up during the day to reflect what I would have smoked and therefore a little more motivational and it then continues during the time when I would not have smoked, which is of little value. overall a useful aid, but I would have preferred something a little more engaging.
