Ratings and Reviews
Apparently it is possible to book appointments online. The many times that I have tried to do so, there are no appointments to book they are all closed.
I cannot see a female doctor when I ask for one. I am left to call at 8:am on a particular day. This is hard for me because I usually have to wait for 30-40minutes before my call is answered! I feel so ill that I have to ask for a later appointment. Sometimes I get it but other times I get told there are no appointments until a few days hence! It is so infuriating. I suffer from several chronic illnesses but this is not taken into account at all.
I am thinking of removing myself from your list and checking out some other surgeries because I am sick of being treated like a thorough nuisance by your reception staff.
I could go on but I am in A&E at Barnet.
Most important feature simply doesn’t work
The best feature of the app by far is the ability to book appointments on the fly, which is great as it can be very hard to get through to my surgery on the phone. Unfortunately while I can see all the appointments that are available attempting to book any of them just returns the message “unable to book appointment, please check your internet connection or try again later”. My internet connection is fine and I’ve been trying multiple times over the last 3 days so that message is really useless for an end user.
Not sure if this that this is down to the app/api or a problem at the surgery itself but for this to be an issue for 3 days straight tells me that someone, somewhere doesn’t really care about the service this is trying to provide.
Developer Response ,
Hello. Thank you for your review. We would really appreciate it if you email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the practice name so we can find out what the issue is as practices use different clinical systems.
My main reason for downloading the app was to order repeat prescriptions, for which the app redirects me to a website to use instead. Alerts to say my prescription is ready don’t come via the app either, I still receive text messages (or sometimes I don’t even get that). The app also doesn’t allow me to contact my surgery via instant messages, it has an instant message function but all I get are medication reminders that I set myself, and a message from my Surgery stating that they don’t use the instant message function. I can track my weight and BMI, but I have health and Fitbit apps that already do that. The app has added nothing to my experience dealing with my GP. I’m still better off just ringing them or going in to ask questions. Not sure why they recommended this app to me at all.
