We’ve updated the NatWest Mobile Banking App, so managing your money is even easier
What else can the NatWest App do for you?
You can Get Cash from your account at any NatWest, RBS or Tesco cash machine without using your debit card.
You can take out a maximum of £250 a day, the amount you ask for must also be within the daily withdrawal limit for your debit card and you’ll need to have at least £25 available in your account to use Get Cash (this includes any overdraft you might have)
You can pay someone else who has the NatWest or RBS mobile app. We’ll send them a text to tell them you’ve sent them money and it goes into their account straight away.
You can send up to £250 a day like this.
You can also pay someone who doesn’t have our app but does have valid UK Visa debit, credit or prepaid card as well as a UK mobile.
You tell them how much you are sending them – it’s a secret between the two of you. We’ll send them a text message telling them you’ve sent them money but not how much. The text will have a link to Visa’s collection website. The person you sent the money to goes onto the Visa website and enters their Visa card number and the exact amount you’ve sent them.
The money should be in their account in 1-2 working days after they have provided their details on the Visa collection site. We’ll let you know by text when they’ve collected their money and your balance has been debited. They have 7 days from when they got the text to collect the payment. You can send up to £250 a day like this.
‘Pay your contacts’ limits are independent of daily withdrawal and Get Cash limits.
You’ll also need to have available funds to send from your account (including any overdraft facility)
You could pay bills or pay people – you’ll just need to have set up and made a payment in Digital Banking first.
You can move money between the accounts you have with us
You could check your balance and recent transactions whenever you needed to
It’s easy to find your nearest cash machine or local branch with Near Me
You can also top up your pay as you go mobile phone and up to four others (Unfortunately we can’t do this for phones on the 3 network)
You can look at your NatWest mortgage account and credit card balance.
Thank you for all your feedback on previous versions of the app. It helps us keep improving, so please keep it coming.

What's New in Version 3.5.1
Your opinion is important to us so continue to tell us what you think.
By the way, you may have noticed your accounts are now listed in alphabetical order in the app. Want to change the order? No problem - simply log on to Online Banking, change your account names by selecting ‘Your Details’, and their order in the app will be immediately updated.
This bank app is poor, developers look at barclays bank app its 100 times better. Take the effort in the app and make it look good!
With barclays to save a payee they have built in card reader which is really good. Why don't you have built in one?
1) In the statements why is their very little information about where the money has been spent or cashed out from? Should be more detail and time and date of each transaction.
2) Why don't you make 4 options in the statement section as soon as you click statements it would help if their is 4 options,
- one option saying All transactions (All the activity shown in the bank i.e whats gone out and whats come in)
- second option allowing us customers to view whats only been coming into the bank
- third option allowing us customers to view whats been going out on the account i.e what we spent using the card
- fourth option showing which direct debits we have set-up and which are waiting to go out.
3) With barclays app once you entered the passcode it will automatically sign you into the bank, where as with natwest after putting the passcode in we have to manually click on login. So annoying!
This Natwest app needs improving.
Add the feature which i mentioned and make the app look good as well as adding more features to the app.
Update fixed my prob - thanks!
EDIT: update fixed my issue below - thank you!!! This app does everything I need it to, which is basic banking: balance check, pay bills & transfers. Good job.
-Hi devs, the recent update removed the "description" part for Payments & Transfers under 'person or bill'. I have more than one account for several people and now have no way of telling which account is which - unless I memorise everyone's account numbers. Pls bring back the description of account (it has remained under "your accounts" so hopefully it is just an oversight). Many thanks.
the iphone version is better, why cant I install it on the ipad
The IPhone version allows the user to see a long list of recent transactions, and is very good.
However, over six months since I originally wrote this review nothing has changed. The iPad version is a triumph of useless graphic overdesign over function. The iPad app has little windows that do not make use of the whole screen and show only six or so recent transactions, and - unlike the iPhone app cannot be scrolled - which is next to useless if you have busy accounts.
I specifically attempted to install the iPhone versio onto the iPad but you cannot.
Can I suggest you replace your web designers with some more interested in making an app that is of real use to real users with busy account, rather than letting them play with some clever software library that they have just discovered.
