The NETGEAR genie app is an easy way to manage, monitor, and repair your home network--from the palm of your hand. While on your home network, the NETGEAR genie app allows you to access router features with your mobile device. You can access the following router settings using the NETGEAR genie app: wireless settings, network map, Parental Controls, guest access, traffic metering, MyMedia, and more.

• Stream music and video files anywhere in your network from your smartphone or tablet
• Securely connect smart phones and tablets to your home wireless network with a QR code thanks to EZ Mobile Connect
The NETGEAR genie app does not work if your mobile device is connected to the router’s guest network.
The NETGEAR genie only works when your mobile device is connected to a NETGEAR router that is in router mode, not in access point mode.
The NETGEAR genie app does not work with a wireless extender or repeater.
The NETGEAR genie app currently does not support IPv6. If IPV6 is enabled, logging in to the router using the genie app will fail.

So far so good, but...
I have found the app works reasonably well. My main use is to turn the internet off for the young people in the house - and this works quite well - particularly when I'm away from home. What would be really good, however, would be to be able to schedule internet access time for internet users over the course of the week. This would help me avoid having to remember when to switch on - and to switch back on again.
Splendid App!
I have been using a Net Gear router from the very beginning of my using wifi. In my opinion , it is kind of good that user can have some controls over this device such as changing name & password in an easy way. I am not sure I found the option 'administration' through which people can update the device's firmware as it's possible in the PC or laptop, so if not, it would be way better app for users.

Good router everything working like should, is better then any SKY router, just coverage of WiFi could be better that’s is only the one reason why I bought this router to fix my WiFi and is fix ( better then sky router ) but expect more from this router specially when you have to pay over 50£ for used one and around 100£ for new
